Human Protein Translational Regulation Index Database

ProTriD

Translation regulation is an important contributor to regulate gene expression and many disease states occur because of its dysfunction. The pearson or spearman correlation coefficients for RNA and protein expression data are used to characterize the translation regulation. Previous studies indicated that RNA and protein expression data show moderate or weak correlation, indicating that translation regulation plays an important role in protein expression.

Figure 1: Box diagram of correlation coefficents for each publication. In all tissues, the correlation coefficents of tumor samples are higher than those of normal samples.

Figure 2: Comparison of the correlation from different tissues. Most tumor samples belong to the same category in clustering.
